With use of valid AutoPASS-chip without agreement for the Moss-Horten route you obtain 10% discount.
To obtain a 30% discount, you must have a valid AutoPASS-chip and in addition enter a separate agreement for the Moss-Horten route, which involves advance payment of an amount determined by the AutoPASS‐regulativ for riksvegferjesambandet Moss‐Horten (only in Norwegian).
The price table for zero emissions applies to vehicles registered in the Norwegian vehicle register with fuel code 5 (electric) and fuel code 6 (hydrogen). With us, you can take a break with a steaming hot coffee while crossing the Oslofjord in a relaxed manner. For families with children, this is a perfect pause, where everyone can find something they enjoy.
We highly recommend our sveler – widely known as the number one ferry treat. Or how about a freshly baked baguette and freshly brewed coffee for breakfast? Enjoy your meal on the sun deck when the sun is shining!
We offer a rich selection of sandwiches, an extensive hot dog menu, and a wide variety of kiosk products.

Visit our café, and you'll find something to suit every taste!
Prepared dishes
We bake baguettes, ciabattas, and rolls onboard the ferries, ensuring you always get the freshest bread possible!
Sveler, waffles, and baked goods
The history of sveler goes way back, and for many, it's become a must-have highlight of the ferry trip. They come in slightly different variations, but of course, we believe our sveler are the best 😉 Try them yourself, and feel free to share your feedback!

I need parking near the elevator onboard, who should I approach?
Travelers who, for health reasons, require a special placement of their vehicle onboard must go to the manual ticket booth. This ensures you are directed to the appropriate line so you can be near the elevator or stay on the upper deck and remain in your car. It is possible to pay with an AutoPass tag also at the manual booth.
How can I pay for the trip?
You can use a valid AutoPASS tag as a payment method when traveling with us. There is also a manual option for payment using debit cards, credit cards, and cash.
See an overview of all approved tag issuers here: https://www.autopass.no/en/user/contact-a-toll-service-provider/?language=en.
Note: It is not possible to pay for the trip using FerryPay or Epass24.
If I am traveling without a car, where do I board, and what is the cost?
All foot and bicycle passengers must board via the car deck. Cyclists must dismount and walk their bicycles onboard.
All pedestrians and cyclists travel for free on the ferry.

Can I bring an electric scooter into the lounge?
No, it is not allowed. Electric scooters must be stored on the car deck during the crossing, and passengers are responsible for securing them during the trip.
How long does the crossing take?
The crossing takes approximately 30–35 minutes.
Can I stay in the car during the crossing?
For safety reasons, it is not allowed to remain in your car on the lower car deck during the crossing on Bastø I and Bastø II. You may, however, stay in your car on the upper car deck on these ferries. On our four newer ferries—Bastø IV, Bastø V, Bastø VI, and Bastø Electric—there is only one deck where passengers can remain in their cars.
Can I reserve a spot on the ferry in advance?
No, it is not possible to reserve a spot in advance.
Can children travel alone on the ferry?
Children over 10 years old can travel alone. Children under 10 years old must travel with a person who is at least 16 years old. Please note that the crew has many tasks related to traffic management and safety. There is no established system for taking care of children traveling alone, so this should be considered before sending a child alone on the ferry.
Can I bring my pet onboard?
Yes, we have designated rooms onboard where you can sit with your pet. Pets travel for free.
Can I send a package on the ferry?
No, this is unfortunately not possible.
Can I bring dangerous goods onboard?
Passengers can bring dangerous goods onboard the ship. Items that are not allowed (listed below) or stored in containers exceeding the maximum size listed must be transported in accordance with "Regulation of July 1, 2014, No. 944 on Dangerous Goods on Norwegian Ships."
See the overview of dangerous goods here: PDF (83KB).
All our ferries transport dangerous goods in accordance with the regulation on dangerous goods on Norwegian ships, FOR-2014-07-01-944, stowage plan appendix 1A and 1B of the regulation (with an approved extinguishing system).
For private individuals transporting dangerous goods, please refer to the latest edition of ADR section 1.1.3.1.
https://www.dsb.no/lover/farlige-stoffer/transport-av-farlig-gods/regelverk/
Articulated lorries transporting dangerous goods can only travel with the ferries Bastø Electric and Bastø IV. This is because other vessels operating on the Moss-Horten route have length restrictions in the designated areas onboard intended for the placement of dangerous goods during transport.
Checklist for dangerous goods:
Drivers transporting dangerous goods must fill out a checklist. This must be signed and submitted to the crew during boarding.
